“Yeah…is that weird and gross?”
“Sooo weird and gross. So, you’re pregnant? Right now? We’re pregnant?”
“Sooo pregnant.” I smirk as he places the pregnancy test down. Then he wraps an arm around my lower back, pulling me closer to him. Baby Cole starts crying again, but to tell you the truth it’s the perfect backdrop noise for this moment in time. It’s a beautiful, life-changing sound that’s a welcomed gift to our lives.
“Well, look what we have here.” Kayden points above us to the invisible mistletoe. Our lips have not yet touched, but our hearts are already so deeply entwined. “I love you, my Sunshine.”
“I love you, too.”
He lips brush against mine, and I am absolutely crazy about the simplicity of the kiss. It’s perfect, it’s real, and it’s ours.
It’s almost ridiculous how real we are, but I’m totally okay with that.
The End.
