Trapped in Silver: Sneak Peak (Eldryn Chronicles Book 1)

Following on the family train: thanks to my brother, Jonathan, and sisters, Catherine and Rachel, for never thinking my ideas were stupid. Thanks to my cousins, aunties, and uncles (there're a lot of them) for taking interest in what I do and never thinking I should have been something more stable like a doctor, engineer, or politician.

I can't quite thank my partner, Matt, enough for having endless streams of patience with me and for being a source of constant support and encouragement. One day I promise there'll be an evening where I'm not working but either which way you're stuck with me for a while yet, ha-ha.

Thanks to my friends who asked about my projects and who cared about my work, even if their questions were usually met with 'ah, some fantasy stuff' and shrugs of embarrassment. Thanks especially to Jack for celebrating the small things with me, for checking in day-to-day on how everything was going, and for being there to listen to me get sad or excited about the silly things. You have no idea how much that meant to me. Thanks also to Leah for sticking with me for 20 years and for showing me what real friendship is. You make being cool look so easy and you've been a constant inspiration for my characters and their relationships.

Most of all, thanks to Ben, Xina, Kim, and all of Oftomes' writers for giving me this opportunity and for making me feel at home on day one. Where agents breezed over the cover letters and samples, you called me up after only reading a small section of the book and made the years of rejection and necessary disappointments worth it. Not only did you take Trapped in Silver on, you made me feel proud to shout about my book from the rooftops after carrying it in my heart for so many years. It was the first step towards an amazing journey that I literally have loved every moment of.

Oh, and thanks to my lovely ragdoll cat, Indy. You may not be able to read this as you sit there licking your butt, but I know you'd give me a kitty fist-bump if you could.
