“No, it’s not.” I was done playing games. I hated each and every one of them with a passion like no other. “Why can’t you let me be?”
“Because I need you to get what I really want.” Brock motioned for the two idiots to follow him. “You’re gorgeous, and we’ll have strong pups, so it’s not like you’re a hardship … once you change your attitude.”
“I will never change my attitude.” I should have locked her in, but my wolf was raging as much as my human side. “I will never mate with you. I’d rather watch you bleed out and die.”
“Damn,” Tommy stuttered beside him. “She means it.”
“Oh, I know,” Brock said. He must have commanded them through his pack link because the weird guy and Tommy grabbed my arms and jerked me onto the bed. They held me down by my arms and legs.
I bucked, desperate to get out. I wasn’t sure what they had planned, but if they needed to restrain me, it couldn’t be anything good. However, I was at their mercy.
Brock leaned over my body. “There’s only one thing I can do to turn this all around.”
Heart racing, I shook my head. “You wouldn’t.” This was what the mating ceremony was for.
“Oh, I would.” He lowered his head to my neck, and his teeth extended.
No, this couldn’t happen.
