About the Author


ERIKA JOHANSEN grew up in California. She went to Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from the celebrated Iowa Writers Workshop and eventually became a lawyer, but she never stopped writing. Her acclaimed debut, The Queen of the Tearling, is the first book in a trilogy and became an international bestseller. The second novel, The Invasion of the Tearling, continues the thrilling story of Kelsea Glynn and the Tearling kingdom. Erika lives in the San Francisco Bay Area of California.
