Desire Me

“Hi Matt.”

“Hi Tina. I won’t waste your time. Don’t take this personal, okay? But your Dad deserves a kick in the backside, that’s why I’m doing this.”

“Doing what?” Tina yelled, a look of panic coming to her face. “What are you doing? What have you done?”

Clay frowned.

“Listen, Tina. Remember that night we had a fucking spree in your house? But who am I kidding, of course you do remember.”

“Just get to the point!” Tina snapped impatiently. And yet she felt that she didn’t really want to hear whatever it was.

“There was a hidden camera in the room. In fact, I sent somebody to the house to steal it and he did a wonderful job. I gave him a map of the house from the lab to your bedroom to retrieve the camera. All he needed was the right opportunity. There was no time to retrieve the camera after your parents broke up the party.” He actually chuckled. “Professor Wilson has no son named Seth...at least I hope he hasn’t.”

“What?” Tina gasped, feeling as if she had been kicked under the heart. Her legs suddenly felt weak, and she fell to her knnes. Clay sprang to his feet, and rushed over to her, pulling on his shorts up to his waist.

“Tina, what’s happened?”

Tina began to sob. Matt was talking, but she couldn’t hear a word. Clay grabbed the phone and heard Matt say: “Your Dad will pay. Nobody fires Matt like that. Can you imagine his daughter caught on camera in a group sex thing? What will the world say? What about his larger-than-life career? But he has himself to blame, Tina. You are just caught up in this mess, it’s not your fault. I’ll be in touch.”

And he hung up.

Chapter 1

“Clay, I’m chickening out,” Tina said. Her hands were shaking.

“Come on. Everything will be alright,” Clay said softly, his hands carressing her shoulders as he stood behind her. She was sitting in an armless lone chair in his apartment, and it was only one hour since she got that scary call from Matt that threatened to tear her life and her family apart.

“You really think that guy would have the guts to do this? Why isn’t he picking up the phone?”

“I think he wants to prove that he has the final word and he’s the one doing the calling, not us,” Tina said. She liked to analyze situations. She liked to consider different possibilities about one particular situation. Brooding in her room over the years wishing she could attend parties and generally enjoy the freedom her friends enjoyed had made her that way.

“So what next?” Clay made it more like a statement than a question.

Tina sprang to her feet with a dramatic movement and began to pace the room. “Clay, can you imagine that video all over the social media? Twitter, facebook, You Tube, WhatsApp? Hell no! That ain’t gonna happen to me!”

Clay frowned. “Do you know where Matt lives?”

“No! Somewhere around Santa Barbara, but if anyone has the address, Dad has.”

“I’m not thinking. Why would he be hanging around the same address when he’s blackmailing your Dad, anyway? I’m sure he’s put himself a few miles between his real address and his current address. I wouldn’t even be surprised if he was hanging around your Bel Air area or with the cousin you told me he keeps talking about in Beverly Hills, or even around Long Beach, not too far from where he can keep an eye on your connections and hideouts. You have plenty of friends around here and he knows all about me, anyway. Maybe he even knows where I live. Maybe he even knows you were here when he called.”
