Cake Love: All Things Payne

Would I be fired if I threw this tumbler at him? What about just a punch to the junk? This English Lothario with his 1980's Don Johnson 5 o'clock shadow needs to watch where he casts his eyes or I might just have to recreate the Revolutionary War up in here.

What is worse than having to listen to his drivel about streamlining production and increased worker something, something, something...who cares? Watching Morgana act as if this British rapscallion (that’s right, I went old school with my insult) is Prince William is so much worse. She is practically spreading her legs for him right now. It really is embarrassing for her to do that at dinner in such a fancy restaurant.

"Yup. Worked here for almost four months, well if you don't count the one month in February where I was working at a bank." Morgana glances at me. What? Oh now she wants to rub that in my face, that I got her fired from Mimir so she had to take a job with the bank. Then got her fired from that, both of which involved my dick in her crotch. She wants to get it all out in the open while she is over there on the other side of the table probably fucking him with her foot.

"Let's whip it all out in the open shall we. Let's all look at Mr. Payne and his crazy cock. It’s Captain Cock to you!" I point at Garrett who seems surprised by my actions. In fact as I glance around the table everyone is wide eyed and staring at me. What? Oh, like they don't name their privates.

I stand abruptly or at least try to, knocking the chair to the ground. Whoa, this room is a little tilty.

"I don't have to stand here and take this. I'm heading back to the hotel."

I stumble away and suddenly feel a strong arm wrapping around my waist. Looking over I see Edgar's smiling face. Oh Edgar you have always been there for me.

"You really do care don't you Edgar. I love you man. I really do." I squeeze him tight pushing our cheeks together.

"Okay Henrik. I am going to put you in a cab and Morgana is going to make sure you get into your room."

I turn my head to see her with our coats walking beside me. I lean in to whisper in Edgar’s ear, “I love her Edgar. She’s the best!” Okay, so that last part might not have been a whisper like I intended.

He rubs his ear as we walk through the front door to the street. There is a door man who runs out to hail a cab.

"Sure you do Henrik. She's a great assistant."

I shake my head. He doesn't get it. Nobody gets it. Before I can explain what I mean he is helping me into the back seat of a black cab. The door opens wrong and I laugh. Cars are so weird here.

Once I am buckled in, which Morgana makes sure of, the taxi takes off. My head flops in her direction.

"You like him don't you." I try to sound aloof but my voice is a little too high pitched for that.

"Whom are you talking about?" She scrunches her brow and it's so cute. She is adorable and unbelievably sexy in the little black dress she is wearing. It's so small it's wrong, but I like wrong.

"Snooty Mr. Marson that's whommmm!”

She laughs and throws her head back. My heart melts a little with the sound.

"Oh Henrik you are drunk. I have no interest in Mr. Marson other than to learn about the distribution center. You seemed to be too busy downing scotch to notice that our entire conversation revolved around the company."

"I'm not drunk. I don't drink."

Now she is snorting and puts her hand on my knee. The warmth travels up my leg and starts to wake Captain Cock.

"Henrik for a man who doesn't drink you seem to have done it enough times around me."

"Yeah, well...you seem to bring out the worst in me."

I regret the words as soon as they exit my mouth. The look of anger and, even worse, disappointment on her face sober me up a bit.

"I didn't mean that. I...I..." She cuts me off with a wave of her hand.

"Spare me Henrik. I may bring out the worst in you, but at least I don't use you and toss you aside any chance I get. I try my best to treat people with respect, something you don't seem to be familiar with."

She adjusts her body to look out the window and watch the lights of the city race by.

The remainder of the car ride is silent. I run my hands through my hair a lot, and I think I might have chipped a tooth from clenching my jaw so much. Once we get to the hotel she walks off. I take the elevator alone to my room and am surprised when I see her outside my door waiting.

"Changed your mind about me have you? So you want to get on your hands and knees and earn my respect?" Again, I want to take back the sentence just as it escapes my lips. For some reason that sounded much better in my head.

Morgana rolls her eyes and groans.
