Love UnExpected (Love's Improbable Possibility)

I squinted my eyes. I was lost. Seriously confused.

“I've fallen for you. I haven't fallen for a woman in years...but I'm man enough to admit it. The question is what do we do about it.”

He looked at me in search of an answer. I was short of one. I was also puzzled as to where this was going. He waited. I nervously combed my hair back with my fingers while I searched for an answer and began to get self—conscious about my appearance.

“Please don't try to fix your hair on my account. I find it very...organically appealing,” he growled lowly.

Organic? It was all over my head in a huge muffin I imagined.

He put his phone down and walked over to the bed. With my arms, I cupped my naked breasts that were hidden underneath the sheet. He sat next to me. Crap. He was asking for an answer. I don't have one!

“I'm a little out of my league here, Mr. Jacobs,” I offered cowardly. Loser!

“Hmmmmmm...” he followed.

Did I disappoint him? Shiiiiiiiiit, Rayna!

Then he said, “Why don't we start by spending more time together. Last night was good,” he murmured as he played with my ruffled mane. “Not the sex...well, that was...phenomenal,” he smirked shyly.

I coyly snorted as well. He started planting small and soft kisses from my neck down my arms.

“Why don't we try to sync schedules? You send yours to my assistant and I'll have him send you mine weekly. This way we can plug each other in regularly,” he offered with the most sincere look in his eyes.

I was still a little out of it. “I don't think I have a formal schedule the way that you do, Azmir,” I admitted. I was distracted by his lips embracing my upper torso.

“Oh, you do,” he said matter-of-factly. “Between work, dance and your activities with Michelle, you're a very busy woman.”

Hmmmmmm...I guess he’s right. Michelle and Erin's activities alone consumed me and they were all scheduled in advance. Perhaps this could work.

“Okay, I think we can make that happen.”

My thoughts must have been weighing on my face again because he asked, “What's wrong?”

I didn't know how to explain that I didn't know how that would help or where he wanted it to get us. Hell—it was too early for such a heavy conversation, I didn't even know what I'd be doing this morning.

All I could come up with was, “What's next?” as I searched his face for an answer.

His face twisted up in a smile, amused by my statement.

“Well, it's still morning, so breakfast.” His look of amusement shifted into a panty snatching smirk. “And there's nothing I'd enjoy more than eating you. I love the taste...” He kissed my shoulder. “...and the feel of you pulsating against my tongue.” He then released the sheet from my arms' grip. My breathing caught and my insides clenched.

“Lay back and watch me enjoy my meal,” he commanded and with that, I rested back on the pillow and allowed Mr. Jacobs his way with me.

Chapter 2

Rayna

It was nearly a week since our making up and Azmir had just returned from Massachusetts late the night before. My strong-willed stubbornness would not allow me to invite myself over to his place for a fix, a taste of A.D. when he landed the evening before.
