The Fear That Divides Us (The Devil's Dust #3)

“That’s it, baby. See how good that feels. Hear only my voice, see only me,” he mumbles into my neck, his cock brushing across my bundle of nerves as he pounds into me. I notice my body blossom with warmth, and my knees begin to tremble.

I look at Bobby in the mirror. He is looking back at me from over my shoulder, his eyes caring and sensitive. His jaw is clenched as he chases his release, his hair sticking to his forehead from the sweat building, and his eyes are heavy with desire, never looking away from me.

“What are you doing to me?” I moan, not meaning to ask the question as I push myself backwards to meet his thrust, so desperately wanting to climax.

“Showing you how to live,” Bobby whispers, slowing his hips into a torturous rhythm.

My body erupts into ecstasy, everything happening in slow motion I tremble as a warmth climbs its way from my core outward, licking up my limbs. I hear nothing but Bobby’s harsh breathing in my ear, and see nothing but his blue eyes staring back at me in the mirror. His length hitting me in all the right places, throws me into oblivion. My pussy clenches around him hard, and my arms give out, making the front of me fall onto the bed as I tumble into the most intense release of my life.

“Fuck!” Bobby roars, pumping his hips uncontrollably, climaxing seconds behind me.

After Bobby stills, I lower my aching legs slowly from kneeling to lying flat, his sweaty chest resting on my back while he pulses inside of me. His chest heaving against me as he pants for air. His eyes pinning me in the mirror across from us.

Suddenly, something snaps inside of me as I stare at him, his eyes looking back at me passionately. The way his stare grounds me as he takes me in, not speaking, not moving, just devouring everything that I am as my walls begin to crumble. I cannot describe the snap; can’t figure out what it means, but I can feel it continuing to splinter inside of me as I stare at Bobby’s reflection in the mirror. This emotion rising inside my chest is a lot like the first time Bobby and I ever had sex. It’s one which is glorious yet terrifying.

I turn my head quickly and look at the wall. A spindle of emotions circulating through me like a virus. Once more, I close my eyes and see Travis, but it’s faint; it’s not as dire as before. I open my eyes and see Bobby smiling at me. His hand reaches over and rubs my arms before pulling me toward him, my front to his front.

“You all right?” he whispers into the top of my head.

I breathe in his smell of coconuts and sweat. My eyes becoming heavy as I nod. Bobby just unraveled my world and everything I thought I knew.

Bobby

“Mom, I’m home!”

Jessica darts upward, covering her bare chest with her hands. Her hair sticks out everywhere as she looks at the door with wide eyes.

“Shit, shit, shit,” she curses, falling from the bed. I stretch my arms upward, my muscles cramped from sleeping.

I look over and see Jessica racing around the room, pulling clothes from her dresser and closet. She pulls on some white panties, and a matching top, her face flushed in complete panic.

“Get dressed,” she hisses quietly, running her hands through her hair, pulling it from her face.

I yawn and roll over, eyeing my clothes on the floor.

Jessica huffs and grabs my underwear and clothes, throwing them in my lap.

“Hurry!” she whispers harshly. I raise my eyebrow upward as I watch her race into the bathroom.

I pull my underwear on, and scratch at my chest, my belly rumbling with hunger.

“Mom?”

I turn around and see Addie staring at me with shocked eyes. She has gotten so big since the last time I saw her, and looks just like her mother. Round face, blonde hair, blue eyes.

“She’s in the bathroom,” I tell her, pulling my jeans on quickly.

“Oh, okay,” she replies, looking at the bathroom door.

“You hungry?” I question.

“What?” she asks, looking at me as if I have lost my mind.

“Are you hungry?” I repeat.

She leans against the doorframe and crosses her arms, her eyes roaming my face in curiosity before forming a smirk.

“Actually, yeah,” she admits. “Liz’s family are vegans, so I didn’t get much for breakfast,” she responds, shrugging. She squints her eyes and tilts her head, looking at me intently.

“What?” I ask, nervous, wondering why she is staring at me like that.

“You look familiar,” she answers, tapping her rounded chin with her small index finger.

“Addie!” Jessica chimes in surprise as she is walking out of the bathroom.

“Mom,” Addie greets.

“Uh,” Jessica looks between Addie and me nervously, her forehead wrinkling with worry lines. She’s clearly displeased I’m talking to her daughter. “Addie, this is Bobby,” she continues, her voice shaky.

Addie takes her gaze from her mom to me and smirks. “How about that food?” Addie suggests.

“Food?” Jessica questions, her voice a tone higher than before.

“Yeah, you know, the kind you eat,” Addie smarts. I can’t help but laugh. Addie is so much like her mother.
