During the meeting with both women, I was provided with information that disturbed me regarding events that occurred in Alice Beaumont’s life following her discharge from the institution in 2011.
Per Lydia Beaumont’s recollection and report, Alice Beaumont never returned home to live with her parents and family following her discharge from the institution. She sporadically kept in touch with her family up until meeting a man by the name of Maximilian Frost, whom Alice married. Alice moved into Mr. Frost’s home and subsequently refused contact with her family. Her parents and both siblings had attempted to contact her on numerous occasions following her marriage to Mr. Frost, however, Alice failed to answer their calls or return emails or other types of correspondence.
From what little information they were able to obtain from Alice prior to her marriage to Mr. Frost, Alice had attempted supporting herself with several failed careers, which they believe may have contributed to Alice’s interest and subsequent marriage to Mr. Frost. Per their information, Mr. Frost was a wealthy man who owned several businesses in the state.
The family had little information to give me regarding the events of Alice’s life during her marriage to Mr. Frost, however on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, Alice contacted Delilah Beaumont and requested that Delilah drive to the house where Mr. Frost and she lived. Alice was not forthcoming regarding the reasons she wished for Delilah to pick her up, and stated she would explain once they were away from the property she shared with Mr. Frost.
Delilah Beaumont reported to me that the Frost property was located in a rural area of the county on several acres, the house itself surrounded by woods. The driveway leading to the house was approximately a quarter mile long and due to a storm that had recently flooded the region, Ms. Beaumont’s car ran off the narrow road and became stuck in mud. Ms. Beaumont attempted to call for help, however her cellular reception was weak. Several hours later, while on his return home from a business trip, Mr. Frost encountered Delilah where she’d become stuck off the shoulder of the driveway. Mr. Frost was unable to help free her car and offered her a ride to the house. They had the opportunity to discuss concerns Mr. Frost had regarding Alice’s ongoing difficulties and behaviors.
According to the information Delilah obtained from Mr. Frost, his marriage to Alice had been enjoyable for the first several months they’d been married. He commented that her sleep disorders were practically non-existent during that time, however after several small marital disputes, the disorders returned. He attempted to help Alice manage the problems she was experiencing, however he claimed the disorders became significantly worse which led to delusional thinking and erratic behavior. He specified his belief that Alice was unable to differentiate between her dreams and reality. Mr. Frost admitted to several incidents of physical altercations as a result of Alice’s hostile behavior. He claimed the altercations were a result of his insistence on seeing to Alice’s hygienic and health needs. When in a delusional state, Mr. Frost had to force Alice to bathe, eat, get dressed and clean up after herself.
According to Mr. Frost, Alice had become fixated on a small family cemetery that existed on the property. He revealed to Delilah that the cemetery had actually been larger at one time, however, following the death of his parents, Mr. Frost had most of the headstones removed to make space for a back deck he had intentions of building. He installed a fence that divided the space for the deck and the grave plots for his immediate family, seven siblings and his parents. Due to Alice’s morbid fixation with the cemetery, Mr. Frost had requested she never venture past the gate. Once married, Mr. Frost abandoned his plans to build the deck he’d intended, and instead made the space available for Alice to plant a garden. He never advised Alice that the space immediately adjacent to the house had been an extension of the cemetery at one time.
Additionally, Mr. Frost addressed his concerns with Delilah about specific fantasies and fixations Alice had regarding abducted women. Per the information he gave to Delilah, Alice would often watch crime shows and news broadcasts specifically seeking stories regarding women who’d gone missing around their county. Mr. Frost attempted to prevent Alice from watching those reports because, as he claimed, she would become aggressive, and on several occasions, he had to use physical force to keep her from harming him or herself. Mr. Frost explained that after watching the crime shows or news reports, Alice believed she was the victim portrayed, or she would blame Max for the disappearance of local women.
