“Wowsa!” Todd’s eyes unabashedly roamed my body. When we first started seeing each other, he had been so shy about looking me over. He wasn’t so subtle anymore.
“You think so?” I said, giving a little pirouette in front of the men. It was always nice to have one man admire you, but two delicious weremen? It was a fantastic feeling! I knew I looked pretty good. I had on a sleeveless, form fitting black turtleneck tucked into a black plaid skirt. Happily, I was having a good hair day, and my blonde tresses flowed down my back with light curls at the ends. Silver hoops and several bracelets, along with a pair of scrumptious black leather boots completed the look.
I gave each of the men a sweet kiss and looked them over slowly. “You two are looking pretty delicious yourselves. Dave, I love that sweater on you. And Todd, those jeans are smoking.” Dave was wearing a steely gray sweater that matched his eyes, paired with dark denims. The sweater was a little loose and relaxed, but the jeans were tight, cupping his beefy thighs and outlining his package. It was such a hot look. Todd had paired a green t-shirt with pale jeans that were ripped in several places, showing his luscious skin. Paired with his bedhead hair, ocean blue eyes, and toothy grin, he was the ultimate beach boy. I only wished the jeans were ripped in more places…
“I’m glad you like my outfit, guys.” It had been hard to decide what to wear. After all, what is the appropriate dress for a Werewolf Advocacy Group meeting? I wanted to look casual but smart and give the right impression. In the end, I decided not to sweat it. My black turtleneck was a classic standby.
“We could sit and admire you all day, Bev,” Dave said, glancing at his watch. “But we better get going, or we will be late.”
We quickly left the apartment complex, ignoring the nosey stares of Mrs. Oakley, the landlady in the lobby.
As we climbed into the car, I felt a small lump rise in my throat. Did these people really admire us, or was this some sort of trap we were walking into?
I hadn’t recognized the address for the meeting and I was surprised when Todd pulled into a small but luxurious hotel. For all the clubs I used to be in, we would have meetings in informal locations that were available free or for little money. I was pretty sure that someone had to have put up some cash for the meeting to be held here. As Todd self-parked to avoid paying a valet, I noticed quite a few cars in the parking lot. I wasn’t sure how many belonged to members of WAG, or how many were guests staying at the hotel, but it looked like the place was going to be busy. After parking, we walked towards the hotel. I shivered as I thought about what was ahead. Sensing my nerves, Todd wrapped an arm around my shoulders. “It’ll be fine, Bev.”
“Remember, we don’t have to do this Bev. We can just go home. It was your choice to attend this meeting,” Dave added.
“I know. But I want to do this.” I squared my shoulders and sucked in my breath as Dave shoved open the door. A doorman directed us to the meeting room for the WAG group. I am not quite sure what I expected, but as we entered the room, there was thunderous applause. I started to look around, and then I realized they were clapping for us. I felt like a star.
We were in a large room with small dining tables set up with candles, rose-patterned china, and cut crystal glasses. On the right hand side was a large buffet table.
Arturo and Lina rushed over to greet us. “Attention everyone!” Arturo announced. “This is Beverly Collingswood, Todd Becker, and their friend, Dave Barnes.”
“As if we didn’t know,” someone yelled.
“We have been wanting to meet you for so long!” another called out. Suddenly, they swarmed us. Some had paper and pen in hand and were asking for autographs. Others were just trying to touch us. One girl was so overwhelmed she began crying. It was so weird. I looked over at Dave and Todd. Todd’s mouth was open, and the normally stoic Dave looked stunned by the attention we were getting.
“Refreshments first, and then we will have our question and answer session,” Arturo said to the group.
