Heart of the Hunter

I COULDN’T FIND LACEY WHEN I got home. I searched the living area downstairs, then I went upstairs and checked her bedroom. She wasn’t there. The pool lights were on so I went outside but she wasn’t there either. Nor was she in the hot tub, which was also on. I knew Grady and Forrester were out on a job in Las Vegas and Lacey would have been home alone. I was just beginning to worry when I saw that the lamp in the barn was on.

I approached the barn slowly. For some strange reason, I knew that once I got there, something big would happen. Either I’d find Lacey and she’d be fine, checking on the horses or something, or I’d find something else. I began to think of all the terrible things Rob might try to do to her to get back at me.

“Lacey?” I called, from the door of the barn.

There was absolute silence. I waited a few seconds, and then she answered.

“Grant, I’m up here.”

She was in the loft. I climbed the ladder, a dull throb of pain in my shoulder as I did. When I got to the top, I saw the most seductive image imaginable. It was Lacey, the woman I was so deeply in love with that it was beginning to take over my very soul, and she was laying back on the hay, dressed in a robe, with tears in her eyes.

“What are you doing up here?” I asked.

“I could ask the same of you,” she answered.

I looked at her, drinking in the ravishing sight.

“I have a reason to be here,” I said. “I’m claiming what’s mine.”

She looked startled by my words. I didn’t care. I wanted to startle her.

I walked over to her and without hesitating, leaned down and put my lips over hers. Immediately she responded, pressing her lips against mine, opening her mouth and allowing me to push my tongue into it. I took hold of her head, my hands covered by her flowing, soft hair, and I kissed her like I’d never kissed anyone before. I kissed her like my life depended on it.

My life did depend on her. Try as we both had, there was no way we could resist the force that sought to bring us together. We were completely powerless against our destiny.

I pulled her closer to me, pressing her body against mine. The robe fell open, and I saw that she was dressed only in a bathing suit. My mouth continued to kiss hers, my tongue licking her tongue, licking her lips, and then slowly moving down from her mouth, over her neck, and then to her breasts.

A wave of raw desire coursed through me as my lips reached her nipple. I took it into my mouth and sucked gently, running my tongue around the areola in rapid circles. She sighed. She wanted this too. She wanted me every bit as passionately as I wanted her.

“Grant,” she whispered, as I sucked her nipple. “What are you doing?”

“I’m doing what I should have done a long time ago, Lacey. I’m taking what’s mine.”

“Me?”

“Yes, you.”

“You’re making me yours?”

“Yes, I am.”

“Just for one night?”

I looked at her, her bright eyes sparkling in the light cast by the lamp. “No, not for one night. Forever, Lacey. I’m making you mine forever.”

With that, I reached behind her back and opened the top part of her bathing suit. It fell down, revealing her bare breasts fully to my sight. They were perfect. They were heaven. I took them in my hands and squeezed, ever so gently, as if to test their ripeness.

“These are the two most beautiful fruits God ever made,” I said.

“Really?”

“Yes.”

“You don’t think I need to change them?”

“Fuck no,” I said, and put my mouth over one, and then the other, sucking her poor nipples until they were pink and ripe and firm, and fully erect.

Lacey moaned and sighed in pleasure as I did it.

“I want to come all over these breasts,” I said.

She looked at me as if she didn’t believe what was happening. I couldn’t blame her. I’d given her no warning. I didn’t even know if she’d heard from Rob yet. Did she know the engagement was off? She must have. She was too faithful of a woman to ever do this if she’d been still engaged to another man.

I loved her so much for that. I loved her for everything she was. She’d put up with so much from me. And even after I’d ravished her in the barn, she never tried to force an outcome between us. She let me go, she let me be free, and I came back to her of my own will.

I lifted her onto the bail of hay and laid her down on her back. She looked at me in a daze. I took the robe from her and then pulled down the bottom of her bathing suit. Her vagina lay before me like a treasure of gold. I felt like a pirate who’d finally found the trove he’d been searching all his life. This was it. This was real. This was what was meant to be.
