Spring Training

The breath left her lungs as he stroked in and out of her wet folds. His thumb pressed against her clit, making her feverish with the need to come. She rocked against him, rode his hand hard, until her entire body sizzled. She erupted, crying into his mouth as her release pounded through her system. She cupped his head, unwilling to give up his kiss as she drifted back to earth.

He broke away, resting his forehead against hers. He eased his fingers from her, bringing them to his mouth to lick them clean. “God, you taste like sunshine.”

“Really, Garrett? What does sunshine taste like exactly?” Watching him lick her juices from his fingers stirred something inside her.

He smacked his lips as he finished with his fingers. A wicked smile crossed his face. “Like this,” he said before claiming her mouth again.

She tasted herself on his tongue, a tangy mixture of her and Garrett all rolled into one. It was a flavor she could get used to, made her wonder how he’d react to kissing her mouth after he’d filled it. She’d find out, hopefully sooner rather than later.

With a final nip to her bottom lip, Garrett released her. His erection prodded her belly as her legs slid to the floor. She would have gone to her knees, but he pulled her up short.

“Later, sweetheart. That’s not what I came up here for.” He ran his thumbs over her nipples before nestling her breasts back into her bra and straightening her shirt. His chest expanded as he set to fastening her shorts. “It seems a shame to cover up such perfection.”

Jessa burst out a laugh. “If you weren’t so good at the plate, I’d think you’d need glasses.”

“Nothin’ wrong with my eyes.”

“So, is this what you came up here for?”

He arched a brow and stepped away from her. Her legs wobbled before she found her footing.

“Honestly? I don’t know. I was frustrated that I hadn’t seen you all day and then that text message … well, needless to say I wasn’t happy. All I could think about was getting to you so I could remind you how good it was between us.” He grinned. “I may have considered spanking your ass as well.”

“You wouldn’t.” Although her body warmed at the idea.

He wrapped his arms around her and kissed the top of her head. “It seems you bring out a side of me I’ve not dealt with before. So yeah, I most definitely would.”

Chapter Nine

Feeling pleased with himself, Garrett was grinning like a loon as he made his way through the lobby. The smile was wearing out the muscles in his face, but damn if he could stop.

After leaving Jessa this afternoon, he’d actually managed to salvage his workout for the day. His coaches were happy and that meant he’d done his job. Couldn’t ask for much more than that.

He’d chosen to rush back to the hotel instead of showering at the park. He was gritty with dried sweat and his muscles ached, but he’d never felt better. Now, if he could coax Jessa into the shower with him, he’d have his wicked way with her before they settled down for dinner, making the day damn near perfect.

He couldn’t believe he’d admitted to wanting to spank her any more than her reaction to it. Her eyes had glazed over with desire. Oh yeah, she’d be into it. The thought had his mind wandering into all kinds of interesting territory. Jessa bent over his lap, her ass offered up like a sacrifice. Jessa tied to his bed, unable to do anything but accept the pleasure he wanted to give her. Fuck. Just what he needed. A massive hard-on in the middle of the hotel lobby.

He didn’t know where his thoughts were coming from. These weren’t things he’d ever done, or even been tempted to do. But with Jessa, all bets were off. She brought out the side of him that wanted to possess her in every way possible.

“We just walk away from each other?”

The words floated through his mind and caused him to stumble.

“Easy there. What’s up, buddy?” Tyler’s arm clapped over his shoulders, steadying him, pulling him out of his reverie.

Garrett shrugged him off. “Tired, I guess. Wasn’t watching where I was going.”

Tyler held up the 12-pack of beer. “I’ve got just the thing. Come on.”
