Delight (McKenzie Brothers, #3)

“If you weren’t lost in space you’d have heard me tell you I’m going upstairs to shower and to get ready for work…and no you can wait down here until I’m finished, otherwise, I’ll be late and Kenza will be packed with only two on the bar.”

“Grrr. In a few weeks we’re both taking time off and I’m going to take you somewhere so I get you to myself for the week.” I wiggle my brows, making her laugh, but I can see from the glaze in her eyes that she’d like that. “Just you, me; naked for the whole week…no clothes allowed.” I grin liking my idea more and more as I speak.

Rosie walks toward the door and before opening it she looks at me from over her shoulder, giving me a smoldering look. She’s driving me fucking crazy when I can’t follow her.

“I’ll go on this naked retreat on one condition.” She watches me for my response, which I give with a nod of my head. “The condition is that the first night there I get to,” she pauses with a lovely flush to her cheeks, “um, be in the driving seat,” she quickly blurts out leaving me stunned.

Does she mean what I think she means? She can’t… Can she?

“Yes, Ruben. I’m going to lick and suck you so you come in my mouth and then I’m going to ride the hell outta you,” she shoots out of my office door, slamming it behind her before my actual brain catches up with my little brain, which is hard-as-fuckin’ hell.

Grinning, I reach down and shove the band of my shorts over my dick to help keep it tamed. Damn uncomfortable.

There’s a bang on my office door before Simon comes walking in as though he owns the place. His attitude of late is pissing me off and makes me wonder if he has anything to do with the problems going on here at the club. I know Simon being the problem is something my brothers and I thought about not too long ago, but he’s never given me any reason to suspect him. Shit. This problem at the club needs to stop and soon because until it does all the staff is suspect and I’m so close on doing an unexpected locker search, which I know will piss everyone off. I need to think more on it.

“A problem?” I finally ask a frowning Simon.

“Depends on what you mean by problem.” He sighs and drops down into the chair opposite my desk, reserved for visitors. “The club’s running well, but there’s a woman at the bar and she’s insisting on talking to you. Seems you may know her in the carnal way if you get my drift. Says she’s called Miranda.

Miranda. That name sounds familiar. Where do I know it from… Shit, the woman I fucked and had a really bad feeling about as I left. What the hell is she doing here? Rosie!

“Where’s Rosie?” Jumping out of my chair, I grab my cell from my desk and make my way to the door.

“She’s not appeared yet.”

Thank God.

“Okay. Let me find out what she wants.” Walking down the back corridor, I hope to hell Rosie doesn’t come down until I’ve gotten rid of Miranda. The last time she saw me with someone I’ve fucked it didn’t go down too well.

Hunter spots me walking toward where he’s standing next to Miranda and he doesn’t look too happy. He breaks away from her and passing me says, “You better hope Rosie doesn’t see her. She doesn’t need that,” he points over his shoulder, “shoved in her face.”

He walks away before I can respond. My fists clench at my side wanting to hit something or someone, but in reality, he spoke the truth and I know I need to get her out of here really quick before Rosie appears.

The perfume Miranda is wearing is overpowering and doesn’t really have a pleasant scent, which causes me take a step back to try and get rid of the smell. What the fuck was I thinking when I fucked her? Well, I wasn’t really thinking or rather I was but with a different part of my anatomy, and the hair reminded me of my Rosie. Thinking of Rosie has me taking that step back again, and standing behind her.

Tapping her on the shoulder to get her attention away from the guy she’s giving the eye too, I let her see my impatience. “What are you doing here?”

She grins. “Ruben, that isn’t very polite considering how well we know each other.”

“We don’t fuckin’ know each other. Now answer my question.” I’m practically vibrating with suppressed anger and I’m not sure why. I’m usually a laid back kind of guy. Intense only happens when I’m around Rosie.

“Hmm. I thought we could go for coffee and maybe chat about your club.” She reaches out and runs her finger down the front of my tee shirt. Not getting too far though as I grab her hand and hold it down to her side.

“Keep your hands to yourself.”

“Look all I want to do is to go and get a coffee and tell you about what I’ve overheard about your club and who I’ve heard is involved from your staff. But if you don’t want to know then I’ll go and won’t bother you again.”

Miranda turns to leave, but I grab her wrist. “Wait. I’ll go with you, but it better be good.”
