What Doesn't Destroy Us (The Devil's Dust #1)

I lay watching Dani; her silky skin, spotted with sweat beads, rises and falls rapidly. She’s breathless. Seeing her dripping wet from the rain was the most erotic thing I have ever fucking seen. The blatant teasing made me want her even more. So I fucked her until I thought she was going to combust at my fingertips, leaving us both gasping for air. Her breathing evens out; she must be asleep. I brush her long, curly hair out of her face; she truly is beautiful; crazy as shit, but beautiful. I lay there for twenty minutes staring at her, wondering what the hell she sees in a fucked-up biker like me. My junkie of a mother threatening me today has me livid. She ruined the alone time I had with Dani.

“So you do have someone special? Better deliver or she’s mine.”

The simple call replays in my mind over and over. I won’t deny that Dani is special to me and just the thought of someone doing harm to her makes me want to burn this whole fucking town to the ground. But I've got to keep a straight head on. There’s no telling what this junkie will do. I sit up and see Dani’s olive-colored ass is cherry red from spanking her. Who knew she was such a freak in the bed. That shit was hot as hell. I remember trying to spank Candy once and she cried like a little bitch; I barely touched her.

I slip off the bed and notice my briefs are still around my ankles. I was in such a rush to be inside of Dani, I didn’t even bother taking them off. I pull them up and start picking up my jeans and shit when I notice a pair of pink, ripped panties. I grin as I pick them up and inhale; they smell of Dani’s peachy perfume. I stuff them in my pocket and proceed to put my shit back on. I walk over to Dani and kiss her cheek lightly before heading out the door. I need to go home and get some clean clothes on; maybe even shower. I hate to leave Dani, but being here overnight is too risky.

Walking into the clubhouse this morning, I smell coffee and head straight to the bar. I need something to wake me up after thinking about how to find that bitch of a mother of mine all night.

“Here, Hun, just the way you like it,” Babs says, handing me a mug of coffee. She always hooks me up. Love this woman; I don’t know why she puts up with Locks' bullshit. She truly is an amazing woman.

“Thanks, babe.” I take a sip; it’s perfect; straight with two tablespoons of sugar. I go and sit down at the bar next to Bull. He’s munching away on toast, getting crumbs all over.

“Got another call last night from the bitch.” I blow gently on the hot java in my cup.

Bull finishes the last bite of his toast and looks over at me; he rubs his scruffy jaw in thought. “Let’s go, boys. Got shit to talk about.” Time for church.

I enter the meeting room and sit down next to Bull, as the rest of the boys follow in behind me. When Bobby comes in, I glance up and see purple spots on his neck.

“What the fuck happened? You look like a God-damned leopard,” I ask, not holding back.

He rubs his neck as if he can rub off the hickeys, his cheeks turning red. “Damn bitch was like a fucking vampire. It look that bad?” he asks insecure.

We all start to chuckle. Bobby is always showing up with some kind of out-of-this-world sex story. I have no doubt he probably found some chick who thought she was a vampire. One time, he missed church and we found him in one of the clubhouse bedrooms, cuffed to the bed with a gag in his mouth. He never did tell us who did it to him. That shit was funny, though.

“New business.” Bull lights a cigarette and nods his head my direction.

“Junkie mother of mine threatened that if we don’t supply her with money or drugs, she’s taking Dani”

“Your mom must be tailing you?” Locks speaks up, telling me something I have already figured out. I hate when they refer to this cunt as my mother; it makes my blood turn cold.

“Yeah, I assume,” I reply, coldly.

“I don’t get why she hasn’t done anything; just threatened.” Bobby makes a good point. Why hasn’t she tried to take Dani, or even show up here at the club?

“Yeah, it doesn’t seem right. Just stay close to Dani, Shadow,” Bull says. If only he knew how close I was to Dani; he would freak. “Old business?”

“Lady?” Locks asks.

That bitch is definitely old business. She would do good to stay far away from Dani. Something about her is just … off. I don’t hit women, but I would make an exception for that one.
