All Fired Up (DreamMakers #1)

“Can I see you again?”

The intensity of his question startled her. “Oh. Um…” She spared a glance at the open doorway. “I…okay, I’m going to lay my cards on the table. I had a lot of fun tonight. A lot of fun. But I don’t usually make it a habit of dating, um, two guys at once, so—”

“I’m not asking you to see us again,” he said in a low voice. “I’m asking you to see me. Just me, Lynn.”

Her heart skipped a beat. He looked so earnest and so gorgeous the word yes almost flew from her lips, but she nipped the urge in the bud.

“Are you asking me out?” she said uneasily.

He nodded.

Her cheeks went hot again. “Even after I, uh, slept with your friend?”

The hint of a smile crossed his lips. “What happened just now…that was sex, sweetheart. Fun, sweaty sex between three consenting adults. But that was tonight. Starting tomorrow, I want something else. Something involving you and me and nobody else.” He leaned forward and brushed his knuckles over her cheek. “Will you go out on a date with me?”

An involuntary laugh popped out of her mouth. “You know, you’re doing things all backwards. First you buy the girl dinner and take her dancing, then you get her in bed.”

“I guess I need to brush up on my social etiquette, huh?” Uncertainty floated in his eyes. “Wait, you want me to take you dancing? Because that might be a problem.”

“Oh really?”

He sighed. “I’ve got no moves. I could take you shooting, though. How about dinner and target practice?”

She gaped. “Do you seriously plan romantic dates for a living? Because I’m really beginning to wonder.”

Parker shrugged sheepishly. “Fine, we’ll do whatever you want. Email me a ten-page list of all the activities you enjoy, and I promise, I won’t quit until we cross off every last one.”

The muffled sound of a toilet flushing suddenly echoed from the hall, bringing another flicker of urgency to his expression.

“What do you say, Lynn? Will you go out with me?”

It didn’t escape her that they were both naked and sitting on rumpled, well-sexed sheets. Hell, Parker was still wearing the condom he’d used to fuck her.

Nope, the absurdity of it all certainly didn’t pass her by.

But in spite of that, she met his gaze and said, “I’d love to.”

She adjusted Tony’s oversized dress shirt around her knees as she crawled onto the couch to catch her breath. Both guys were currently sprawled over each other and the king-sized mattress, content and sated if the smiles on their sleeping faces meant anything.

Satisfaction and pleasure lingered in her veins as well, but she was too wired to sleep. Reaching to the floor, she pulled a small leather book from her purse, settling in to make a few notes.

Spontaneity was awesome, but a few habits were so ingrained in her, she didn’t think she could ever give them up.

Life Journal entry number 527

It’s been over six months since the last time I played with Tony, so I was expecting things might have changed a little. Which is fine, adds some spice to the relationship and keeps it fresh.

Tony? Now has this beard thing happening. Goes perfect with his dark skin and that jawline I love to nibble. The combination is so sexy I wanted to climb all over him the instant he walked in the door.

And he brought his friend Diego along. Rawr. How to describe Diego? He could stop traffic if he put on an old suit and held out a tin can. But he upped the ante, my dear diary. The darling man got a piercing. One of the all-the-way-through-his-perfect-penis piercings, with this golden ball on the upper side that…

Well. When people said it makes a difference, I never believed them. But, hand to God, it is fucking incredible.

I think I passed out for a few minutes.

It was also wonderful to know that while I was away to heaven with my fair angels, my bestie was in the hands of two capable gentlemen.

Finally!

Yes, Lynn was talking to real men!

I didn’t tell her this, but after watching him ogle her in class, I lifted the yoga hottie’s info from the waiver form he signed. You know MY rules, diary. I love to love them, baby, but I’m a smart girl. Knowledge is power.

It only took a little research on Google, and Parker made my safe list—the delicious creature runs his own business in the Bay Area. Single, with a solid reputation. Obviously interested in Lynn as evidenced by us “bumping” into him at the bar.

Lynn deserves more than that ass-hat, Phil, and I for one will do what I can to make sure she sticks with the guys who actually see her, rather than some kind of…hell, I don’t even know what Phil’s issue is.

Oh, right. He’s a douche. ’Nuf said.

A gentle caress on her cheek pulled Suz from her journaling.
